Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ron Hutchins. My wife, Kim Hutchins and I have lived in Branson area for the past 14 years. We have four beautiful children and love living and raising our family in the Ozarks. The Lord called us to full time ministry and we started Freedom Seekers , in January of 2005. We have learned so much and God has confirmed our calling as we see lives being transformed. We are ministering to approximately 75 to 100 each week , which includes our youth and jail ministry as well. We are so grateful for the core group of people serving with us that share in this mission. We know God is raising up an army to fight this battle against addictions and every thing that comes with that life style. We know we serve an awesome God and it is only the beginning of great things ahead as we follow Jesus whole heartily.
It is heart breaking that this area is considered to be one of the methamphetamine capitals of the world and to learn that over 80 % of the people in our jails are there because of alcohol and drug abuse. As many as 63 % of Americans say that addiction to alcohol or drug abuse has had an impact on them at some point in their lives. Overall , an estimated 22.2 million Americans age 12 or older was considered to need treatment for alcohol or drug abuse use disorder , Not to mention porn addiction , gambling, and so many others. Yet large numbers of people in need of treatment do not receive it , and prevention is something that has been left to school systems. In the Tri-Lake area there is only one recovery center to try and assist in litterly hundreds of individuals in our area. There is a dire need in our communities not only for adults , but for our youth as well.
Moving forward our vision and goal for 2006 was to open a Christ Centered Restoration Center in Lampe , Mo , A facility to expand and to provide necessary services to our community, Glory to God it happened! To expand our outreach to Stone and Taney Country Jails , in 2008 ,Glory to God it happened! We have witnessed lives being transformed in Stone and Taney County Jails , we serve each week. We also just had the door to West Plains Juvenile Correction Center open to us in 2010 , we prayed for it to happen and it did , Glory to God !
We have learned that it is going to take our community and churches to come together in unity to love and reach out to all those in need. Freedom Seekers is Striving to be on the links to make this happen. As we step out and reach the lost and hurting people of the Tri-Lakes area , and as Freedom Seekers continues to grow and move forward , we have reached a point where support needed to be most effective. To be able to make a difference . It is going to take more than just having meeting , Its going to take Resources , Financial Support , Dedication being involved in their lives Compassion and Commitment.
Freedom Seekers first meeting started off with less than 10 people. Today we ministering to over 200 people weekly and House 30 men and 10 women. We help them to find jobs and offer transportation to reach there jobs. We help get them to court dates and probation meetings , as well as there recovery meetings. We are praying for God to speak to those that are to be involved with this Mission. it’s a Community Problem everywhere let Us set the Example and be the Community Solution and Heal Our Communities Together.
